Rejtett önarckép

 

Ferenc pápa imádságról írt könyvében bukkanok erre a rejtett önarcképre. „Imádság: az új élet lélegzetvétele." Egyetemi elmélkedésre a pap és imája című részt választom. A powerpoint-ba, hátterül, azt a képét helyezem, amikor interjút adott egy repülőgép fedélzetén. Ég és föld között. Tudat alatti és tudatos határán. Szabadon beszél. Ahogyan a papságról írt részben is, érezni a spontaneitást. Saját szellemi portréja ez. Arról ír, hogy gyakran panaszkodunk a környezet által ránk rótt kényszerhelyzetekről. A körülmények okozta korlátokra hivatkozunk. Szerinte ez erővesztés. Sokkal helyesebb, ha azt kutatjuk a panaszkodás helyett, hogy hogyan lehetne a „limitációkat" az eredeti terv vészévé tenni. Hogy a hiányok és töredékes helyzetek épp olyan fontos részei az életünknek, mint a növekedés, a kiteljesedés víziója.

Ebben a barbár, szívét vesztett világban egyre inkább látni, a pápa személyében egy követendő angyal járt közöttünk. Aki soha nem adta fel. S vele értem meg: barbár, szívét vesztett világ helyett sokkal helyesebb barbár, de szívére vágyó világról beszélni. Isten veled, szelíd-határozott angyal pápánk!

Hidden Self-Portrait

 

In Pope Francis's book on prayer, I come across this hidden self-portrait. "Prayer: the breath of new life." For the university reflection, I choose the section on the priest and his prayer. In the PowerPoint, I will use the image of him giving an interview on an airplane as the background. Between heaven and earth. On the border of the subconscious and the conscious. He speaks freely. As in the part he wrote about the priesthood, you can feel the spontaneity. This is his own intellectual portrait. He writes about how we often complain about the forced situations imposed on us by our environment. We refer to the limitations caused by circumstances. In his opinion, this is a waste of energy. It is much more appropriate to investigate how to turn "limitations" into the essence of the original plan instead of complaining. That deficiencies and fragmented situations are just as important parts of our lives as growth and the vision of fulfillment.

In this barbaric, heartless world, it is increasingly evident that an angel to be followed walked among us in the person of the pope. Who never gave up. And with him, I understand: instead of a barbaric, heartless world, it is much more accurate to speak of a barbaric world that longs for its heart. Farewell, our gentle yet resolute angel of a pope!
